They made pillows with this cute kitten quilting cotton and a piece of velvet. I also machine embroidered their initial on a piece of felt, but forgot to take a picture of those! They did a great job. Kids are fearless and don't get caught up worrying about perfection. Maverick the Macaw and her friends came to see the unveiling of her portrait by fellow artist Mary Grabow. I also got in a little stitching. I'm just about finished with this crazy art quilt. I quilted it and got the binding on (with a break to clean the iron which decided since I was used white fabric it should spit out ugly grime). I need to add a line from a poem, a label, and a hanging pocket. I also brainstormed with my studio mate, Debbie Flynn, about a joint show we are holding in October -- the theme is wild and dangerous ☠️ created by Amy Jo with Dramatello's Now Look at This

I started my day with the Paseo Merchants meeting at Oklahoma Shakespeare where I snapped photos of these beautiful hibiscus in their garden.
