In 1896 William Jennings Bryan gave his Cross of Gold speech. It was the culmination of a decade worth of political debate over whether or not private banks should control the printing press.

Bryan wanted silver to be part of the legal tender to weaken the control that private banks would have if only gold was used to back the greenback.

Ultimately private banks would win the day in 1913 and gain complete control over the US and eventually the worlds monetary supply, with the creation of the misleadingly named Federal Reserve.

Bryan was to be immortalised in a novel by Frank Baum called the Wonderful Wizard of OZ.
He was cast as the Lion, Dorothy represented the American People, the Tin Man represented the worker and the Scarecrow represented the Farmer.

Dorothy wore silver shoes in the novel, not ruby and the yellow brick road represented gold. Emerald city represented the greenback and the Wizard represented private banks, hiding behind a curtain.

Eisenhower referred to a cross of iron in his early speech, A Chance for Peace, implying that the power of the banks and the military were intertwined.

The Greens want rental caps. This won’t work as it will reduce the supply of new housing.

What we really need to do is to reduce immigration and allow people to access their super so they can own their own home.

With interest rates at around 6.5% for mortgages, that is equivalent to around 10% pre tax as interest on the family home isn’t tax deductible.
Superannuation funds are lucky to earn 5%.

I fail to see why peoples money has to be locked up In Superannuation when it could make more money paying off their homes.

Last week I spoke against the need for regulation of cryptocurrencies. It is a fallacy to think that governments can regulate them. They should be banned all together.
Cryptocurrencies are backed by nothing and used by shonky operators to promote the idea of a safe haven.

While I will always vehemently oppose government interference in people's personal lives, I do believe the government should have control of our currency underwritten by our sovereignty.

In the same way I don’t want the Federal government borrowing from the Deep state controlled Federal Reserve dollars, I don’t want shonky operators peddling shonky digital currencies.

One of the most important responsibilities a government has is to manage and control its country’s currency.
Private banks are constantly trying to undermine this control, which is critical to a nation’s sovereignty.

It is essential that the history of monetary policy and the wars they cause is understood and not hidden from view.

Last week I spoke to Steve Austin about the impact of the Optus shutdown on customer’s abilities to transact, especially in essential goods and services.

When electronic banking shuts down customers are left with nowhere to go if they don’t have cash.

It’s why banks have to keep branches open.

The major driver for the lift in interest rates over the last 18 months. Is due to Labor's immigration policy.

This increases demand which is working against the RBA trying to decrease demand. As a result of the increased demand from a higher population the RBA keeps increasing interest rates.

Albanese needs to get back to Australia and dial down the rate of immigration before households and small businesses go broke from higher interest rates.
