Do you normally eat low carb (or try to) but as soon as you get sick, it’s all OJ, crackers, toast, and noodle soup?
Here are some of my favorite substitutes!
OJ substitute -> @drinklmnt orange salt
This doesn’t taste like fake orange tang. It tastes like legit orange, and the salt gives it that real OJ acidity taste.
Crackers substitute -> @seapointfarms dry roasted edamame
The salty crunchy aspect is a lifesaver when you’re nauseated!
I also love @simplemills crackers and muffins for when I just can’t stomach the idea of meat, cheese, or dairy.
Toast substitute -> @unbunfoods keto bread products
I like them because they are free from inflammatory ingredients. When you’re sick, you’re already inflamed, so that’s the last thing you need more of.
You can also google “keto mug bread” to make your own clean ingredient bread in under 3 minutes!
Noodle soup substitute -> sip broth, make soup without noodles, or one of these noodle substitutes:

I ask my clients every week what they want to celebrate and affirm themselves for - yes, of course for any weight loss according to the scale, but also for all the non-scale victories like...
⭐ Clothes fitting better or feeling loose
⭐ More energy
⭐ Better sleep
⭐ Better digestion and less bloating
⭐ Less pain and inflammation
⭐ Not needing the Advil or the Tums or the extra cup of coffee
⭐ Less depression or anxiety
⭐ Feeling more centered and able to solve problems
⭐ Feeling a craving but making a healthier food choice than you used to
⭐ Seeing your blood sugar numbers improve
⭐ Getting compliments from others noticing a change in you (inside and out)
⭐ Keeping a promise to yourself
⭐ Choosing a different self-soothing strategy than food
⭐ Not beating yourself up after having a deviation
All of these are examples of proof that you are changing! And remembering that more important than getting to the number you want to see on the scale is the person you are becoming along the way.
