I’ll never forget the time I was told I couldn’t compete my horse bridleless in the jumpers bc “it’s unsafe” whilst watching children careen around in gag bits galloping at fences out of control #horsesoftiktok #horsetok #equinewelfare #horsetraining #reformcompetition #horsemanship

Because it’s dangerous, you can play around at home but not on a show. And your are showing to opposites there are many stages between a wire and bitl

I don’t understand why they wouldn’t allow bridleless in classes where no other horses are in the arena. If you can gallop flat out at fences in a gag

I understand bridless, we tried having a circuit here with bridless and a lot of ppl got injured, but bitless should be ALLOWED!!!!

Setting stricter regulations would force them to learn 🥰

An out of control horse is an out of control horse. It’s weird to allow horses bitted to the nines to be out of control but to assume anyone using les

Also why can’t we ride without a nose band in dressage?

I agree it’s so weird that people can’t just be bit less in the hunters like what is it doing to you

Judges be like “tRaDiTiOn” even though no show hunter today would survive on a real hunt, the tradition the class is based off of 😅

Ask. I might tell you.

I would have happily ridden my horse with no bit or no bridle. I preferred less mouth contact and more body.

That’s the point I’m making. Sport sets the standard for a lot of this industry whether people compete or not.

I was just thinking that. Why does it have to be a LEGAL bit? Why can’t it be for the comfort of the horse?????
