We we were recently invited to try out some authentic and traditional Vietnamese dishes at @the_lemongrass_restaurant located in Renton. They used to be located in Capitol Hill, but moved away and the menu seems to have improved immensely.
I would come here when I first moved to Seattle over 10 years ago. They had the best Canh Chua Cรก (tamarind catfish soup) and Cรก Kho Tแป (braised and caramelized catfish in a clay pot). Which I would eat around the family dinner table almost weekly and with heaping bowls of steamed jasmine rice growing up in Houston, Texas.
Iโm super excited for their change as a company and this gives me reason to get out of downtown to explore Renton more often. ๐

I love getting my friends together to eat deep fried catfish. We roll the tender meat and crispy golden skin along with herbs and vegetables into spring rolls and eat it with a flavorful anchovy pineapple sauce.
Itโs really tasty and you typically need a large group to eat one of their deep-fried cat fishes. Itโs a lot of food! We had 7 people in our group and everyone left happy and full.
We got their medium fish which is around 6-8 lbs. Their large order is around 10 pounds! You need to call in ahead of time to book a table and allow them the time to prepare the catfish.

@iamsabrinasong sung some of her most popular hits after we dined on an amazing spread of Indian food at Nirmalโs.
@makersmark provided tasty craft cocktails and @schillingcider brought some delicious ciders for us to enjoy.
The entire experience was only $100 a person and definitely worth it! Itโs was such a well curated and intimate experience.

We had an overnight staycation at the @wseattle hotel and experienced one of their FACES rooms on the 14th floor. W Seattle collaborated with local artist (and my yoga friend!) @morganzion_ to paint murals of fictional characters that represent the different neighborhoods in Seattle!
We got the Stella room which gave us a QR code to access hidden gems in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. It was so fun to explore the hotel and Capitol Hill. Even though Iโve lived in Seattle for 10+ years, I was stoked to discover more places to explore!
The FACES package comes with the room, a FACES coloring book, imprinted cookies, cocktails and discounts to local businesses and attractions.
Each FACES personality also comes with a playlist that you can rock out to!
This was such a unique experience and we highly recommend checking it out if youโre traveling to Seattle.
