“Nostalgic Art For the Now” 📺🔌⚡️
A retro statement on the modern world, we’re switching the channel to Media Pollution, a video artist collective founded and led by #SCADalum Dan Dowding (B.F.A., film, 2008).
In 2014, Dan salvaged 50+ CRT TVs scattered among Los Angeles, repurposing the vintage electronics to display an interactive video art installation. Since then, kinetic sculptures by the expanded @Media Pollution team have been featured across productions, galleries, festivals, and live events. Working out of L.A., the four partners continue to expanded their spaces reach with two studios and a building underway to serve as a hub for young, upcoming creatives and video artists worldwide.

Don’t miss the group exhibition “Protégé” at Gutstein Gallery, which showcases work created by alumni artists and the faculty members they worked closely alongside during their studies. These connections continue to support and inspire their practices and creative careers. The show closes March 31. #SCAD #artschool
