Our first event in NOLA was a HUGE SUCCESS with @whereyatmagazine and NOLA on Tap. We were able to get the word out about our AMAZING rescue and our currently available dogs. We got some people to sign up to volunteer with us and even apply to be a foster for us. Our SDC Alum @sir_chance_le_chien_ and SDC Krewe member Margie were there as well as our SDC Nola Director @id_critcare_life and SDC Nola volunteer @margies_mom. It was a great time and we can’t wait for the next SDC Nola event!

#WellTheWarrior was rescued and brought into the rescue December 2022 after spending his life tied to a tree and fending for himself. In early January, his amazing foster noticed he wasn’t himself and was whining when touched. She got him to the ER vet who worked him up and he was gound to have a bulging disk in his lower back. He was put on steroids and prescribed crate rest and sent home. Unfortunately he didnt get better and his only option was surgery. He had surgery on his back on January 16th and has done AMAZING.

I am about Ready to go to my new home.
Just need to go out in public a little more to get used to all the sights and sounds. I mean I spent the first 4 years attached to a tree outside without love or people to love me so all the people and sounds can be a bit overwhelming. Everyone wants to pet me and ask about my story, foster mom tells me it's ok and gives me a safe place to sit while shares with them about my post and all the love and support I have received over the past few months.
I am healed both physically and emotionally. ❤️ Thank you so much to everyone who has sent love prayers and donations ! Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd Dog Rescue took me in and saved my life. The medical bills were more than 20,000 and I hear they are still paying on me ....😉 So I would personally appreciate you donating any spare change you have every dollar counts!
