Funny-not-funny
Having problems focusing is a real challenge during menopause and add the constant “pinging” of phones and notifications and it’s no wonder we have a hard time!
Although society tries to sell us that multitasking is effective, there is much more research that the opposite is true.
This is why I am a BIG fan of time blocking, turning off my notifications and putting my phone on DND (my friends know this) so I can get some work done. 😉

They have spent so much of their time “hustling” and normalizing being busy that they are surprised that they suddenly can’t handle it anymore.
Perimenopause is a time when hormones really start to change and it forces you to take a look at how do you spend your time and how it affects you both physically and mentally.
One thing I focus on a lot with my clients is managing stress.
Scheduling their downtime.
Scheduling their walks.
Scheduling their self-care.
Because at some point if you don’t start listening, the stress starts to manifest and show up as anxiety, depression, muscle, and joint pain and even illness.
So if there’s one thing I can say to you on this Friday, it’s take it you look at your schedule next week and schedule your downtime.
your health depends on it.

Well, I am happy to say it’s all about menopause and I am very proud that (yours truly) is featured with the 4 MUST moves for menopause.
If I’m really honest, everybody should focus on these, because they are very functional, but especially women going through menopause, who are losing muscle at a rapid rate; these are non-negotiable.
Each day this week, I will do a deeper dive into each exercise to help you feel more comfortable about how to perform the movement and why it is so important.
Today I’m talking about the squat; THE MOST functional movement, we do every day, all day.
Getting in and out of a chair, couch, car, off and on a toilet, etc.
for those who say “ my knees, bothering me”, he better figure out a way, because one of the first things that people lose as they age, is there ability to get off and on the toilet.
Do you want to be one of those people who adds a riser to your seat?
I didn’t think so, but just like you didn’t think you would lose muscle as fast as you are or be diagnosed with osteoporosis; well, here we are.
FYI… I work with a lot of women who have knee pain, hip pain, back pain, etc., but we always find away for them to continue to move because the latter is not an option.
