Today is the last day of my 4 part series of the 4 must do moves for menopause as featured in this months @Chatelaine

Monday I talked about squats, Tuesday I talked about deadlifts and yesterday I talked about the shoulder press.

Today I’m talking about the push-up.

The push-up is a full body movement that can help with things like pushing yourself up off the floor and pushing open a heavy door.

And once you master them, you feel like a badass 💪🏽

Follow this video as I break the movement down, so you can do them safely and prepare for life.

Tell me. How’s your push-up technique?

Today is Part 3 of my 4 part series of the 4 must do moves for menopause as featured in this months @Chatelaine magazine.

Monday I talked about squats and yesterday I talked about deadlifts.

Today I’m talking about the shoulder press.

The shoulder press is another movement that we do more often that we think when we reach over head to put something up on a shelf or take it down.

Plus, the shoulders get quite tight and lose mobility as we age so we must train them!

Follow this video as I break the movement down, so you can do them safely and prepare for life.

Tell me. When is the last time you did a shoulder press in your workout routine?

In case you missed it yesterday, I am in this months @Chatelaine # and it’s all about menopause.

I am talking about the 4 MUST moves that you should be focussing on during your menopausal journey.

I decided to take each exercise and do a deeper dive so you could understand why these are important and how to do them properly.

Yesterday I talked about squats and today I’m talking about the deadlift.

The deadlift is another movement that we do more often that we think when we bend over to pick up something off the floor. This is also a common movement where people will “ throughout their back”.

Follow this video as I break the movement down, so you can do it safely and avoid injury.

Tell me. Do you do deadlifts in your workout routine?

Have you seen the latest issue of @Chatelaine this month?

Well, I am happy to say it’s all about menopause and I am very proud that (yours truly) is featured with the 4 MUST moves for menopause.

If I’m really honest, everybody should focus on these, because they are very functional, but especially women going through menopause, who are losing muscle at a rapid rate; these are non-negotiable.

Each day this week, I will do a deeper dive into each exercise to help you feel more comfortable about how to perform the movement and why it is so important.

Today I’m talking about the squat; THE MOST functional movement, we do every day, all day.

Getting in and out of a chair, couch, car, off and on a toilet, etc.

for those who say “ my knees, bothering me”, he better figure out a way, because one of the first things that people lose as they age, is there ability to get off and on the toilet.

Do you want to be one of those people who adds a riser to your seat?

I didn’t think so, but just like you didn’t think you would lose muscle as fast as you are or be diagnosed with osteoporosis; well, here we are.

FYI… I work with a lot of women who have knee pain, hip pain, back pain, etc., but we always find away for them to continue to move because the latter is not an option.

So tell me, do you squat regularly?

Let me know below.⬇️
