This is my must-visit exhibition in Kensington examining the modern revolution of the sari. I love this quote from the exhibition’s curator, Priya Khanchandani:

“With a population of 1.4 billion people, India’s significance within contemporary culture is vast, and the sari foregrounds the country’s undeniable imagination and verve, while asserting the relevance of Indian design on a global stage.” The Offbeat Sari runs at the Design Museum, 224-238 Kensington High St from 19 May to 17 September 2023. The most wonderful time of the year 🌸🌿 Come with me to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London.

I knew exactly where I wanted to head first: Manoj Malde's 'Garden of Unity'. As the morning light streamed through the terracotta and pink woodwork with garlands of marigolds, bangles and chillies dancing in between, I could have been back in Jaipur 💕

Manoj is The RHS' Ambassador for diversity and inclusivity and wanted to imbue the garden with just those values. The idea was based on community… And what better start than his wedding there on Monday! 

I loved the details: a colour palette inspired by saris, cushions embroidered in India and reclaimed materials throughout.

Huge thank you to The Newt for the warmest welcome - the smiles, charm and memory for names (I’m in awe) don’t go unnoticed 💚

Influencer and press lunches get a bad rep but this one was so special (and not just because I was interviewing my icon of the floristry world: Neill Strain!) 💕🌸

We started with canapés at The Lanesborough then a tour of Belgravia in Bloom before lunch at Mina’s which is a new Mediterranean inspired restaurant and bar on Motcomb Street 🍴

Also: truffle pizza AND pasta!🍕🍝

📍 Elizabeth Street: Bamboo Bears by Moyses Stevens, a silk flower bed at Les Senteurs and a wild flower meadow Me + Em (which I'm wearing!)
📍 Eccleston Yards: A wise owl at Biscuiteers, explorers in their floral jeep safari by Moyses Stevens and an elephant at Jones Family Restaurant
📍 Pimlico Road: An installation inspired by Rousseau at Bonadea, a fabulous vintage camper van Fermoie and a garden in bloom (ask for some honey in an upcycled paint pot!) at Edward Bulmer
📍 Newson’s Yard: An underwater wilderness by Moyses Stevens. Prepare to be wowed by these colours

🍽️ Time for a pause - I went for lunch at Thomas Cubitt but for something sweeter go for the Banoffee In Bloom cake at Peggy Porschen under their 'Corals and Florals' doorway 🧁

📍 West Halkin Street: The sea theme continues with Neill Strain's seahorses and fish - wow! Louise Kennedy's bright bougainvillea had me back in Jaipur for a moment
📍 Motcomb Street: Just round the corner you'll find Neill's magnificent family of peacocks, then pop into Halkin Arcade for a safari moment... Get up close - their creation from moss is a marvel
📍 Kinnerton Street: Finally, to Orchids and Butterflies by Judith Blacklock who I was lucky enough to bump into. She explained how the orchids are all British and very happy in this warm, temperate arch this week

The shops, restaurants and cafes are abundant with flora and fauna plus there are special events, cocktails and experiences throughout the week 🌸🌷

It's expensive (around £100 a head) but as The Independent says "prices may be high but dishes are generous and designed for sharing."

A spot for very generous gifts and very special friends 🎁💐🍾 This is a new opening at the 5 star Dorchester Hotel in London's Mayfair. The chef behind it is the award-winning Michael Kwan and the florist is Phil Hammond who heads to the market at dawn each day. He even bred a rose - named The Dorchester - for this store 🌹 You can buy a cake in its image or of course the flower itself. It is open daily 10am-7pm. *PR visit

When your friend says "come for dinner" and it escalates quickly 💕🌸🌷 A dinner party hosted at my friend Alex's house for a little London launch of my collection of table linens 🌸

Alex and I made a big mezze platter and smoked salmon blinis to start then did pan fried Chilean bass with black truffle butter and British asparagus for the main course 👩‍🍳👩‍🍳

Bake-off to finish: my brownies versus a chocolate dessert from Birley Bakery 🍫

The flowers were all British 🌸 I used cow parsley, hawthorn and mint from the garden with ranunculus and peony tulips grown in Lincolnshire.

The floral festival aims to highlight wildlife and nature, as well as encourage biodiversity with the floral installations across the borough made from biodiversity-boosting plants and flowers 🌷🦔🦜
I've seen some preview sketches from the florists behind the festival and there will be everything from peacocks on Motcomb Street to a floral jeep! 🦚
Restaurants, cafes and shops will be joining the celebrations with special menus, giveaways and gifts with purchase too.

It's magic! 🪄 These peonies are only around for 6 weeks each year and they make everything look beautiful! They are expensive right now (£2.50 per stem) but will come down to £1 per stem later in the season 🌸 I love them!
