I met a couple once who knew SRV 🎸 as he was coming up as an aspiring Texas Blues artist. They told me that this song meant a great deal to Stevie, because it described a parting of ways from some of his older friends when he vaulted into fame and became the blues legend that he is…either way it is one of my favorite blues songs to perorm 🎙️ and another great Stevie Ray Vaughan classic!

🎸 Considered one of the best guitarists of all time, Gary Moore’s iconic intro to “Still Got The Blues” is hauntingly beautiful and emotive. What sounds simple is skillfully played with bends, vibrato and finess. Gary Moore was also a big Gibson Les Paul guy, which makes me an even bigger fan. 😎

🎸 Name a better blues collab? In 1983 Stevie Ray Vaughan got to play a television show called “In Session" with his guitar hero Albert King. One of the songs performed there was the Blues Song “Don’t Lie To Me”.

This is a guitar lick from one of my favorite SRV guitar solos simply because he’s doing it in the style of Albert King. Standing on the shoulders of his idols!
