Struggling with #procrastination? A 90 sec TikTok isn’t going to fix the #problem , its much deeper than we have time for here, but heres a tip that can help you make some headway.
When I struggled with procrastination, it was at least partially a #habit . So #breakingthecycle of that habit is one way to take some steps forward. That’s what we’re doing here. Instead of saying, “I’m going to stop procrastinating!“ We all know that’s not going to work! we can choose to break the cycle by inserting an easy action that takes just a couple of seconds. From there, we may be able to chain that with other easy steps, and eventually, we may start to stride forward.

You don’t have ##energy you generate energy! Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that you’re stuck with exactly the energy level you have right now.
It takes practice to use techniques like this. Don’t give up. Try it every time you’re tired for a week. You’ll know it’s working when the exhaustion washes away and your ##focus returns.
The next time you find yourself, reaching for another cup of #coffee or energy drink, try this. When you’re #exhausted , life isn’t much fun.

Instead of the typical body scan #meditation , this time, start at the skin, #relaxing and #releasing . Then move your #attention inward to the tissue, fat, muscle, and organs. Finally #relax deep into the core of your body, the marrow of your bones, the center of your brain.
You may relax by #feeling a static-like energy at each stage. Or you may feel #warmth . Once you’ve drawn down your #attention to your core, sit with it. #Feel into it.
#Meditation is #selfcare ! Although i can’t provide you a #cure for #anxiety and #depression , try to #meditate and see what happens.

A simple #meditation anyone can use to #relax , reduce #stress , and #selfsoothe .
I hear people say that they can’t #meditate , that they can’t clear their mind, and that’s it. They never try. But thats not what meditation is!
Sure, some people may try to clear the mind through meditation, but that’s not the only way. Instead of ##clearingthemind I teach people to observe the mind, and by extension, everything that comes into and is created by ##mind
This meditation is simple. Just notice the breath! When distractions come in, that’s OK. Gently and lovingly come back to the breath as many times as it takes. There’s no way to fail! Whether you have to come back to the breath 1 time or 1000 times in five minutes, you’ve successfully meditated.
The most important part of this instruction is to come back to the breath from distraction gently and with ##love Getting frustrated with yourself is going to increase ##anxiety
That ##selfkindness is far more helpful than perfect focus!

First, take a baseline. Right now, do you feel small, crunched up inside of yourself? Do you fill out your body? Or do you feel big?
Then, get to know how your sense of self expands and contracts based on the situation. For instance, do you feel small, contracted in on yourself when you walk into work or school? Do you feel big, taking up the whole room when you listen to music you love? Does your sense of self change when you’re #anxious or #depressed ? Is it different when you’re #confident ?
Then practice expanding and contracting your sense of self at will. And after you’ve gotten good at that, see what happens in difficult situations when you expand your sense of self. If you walk into a situation that normally triggers #anxiety , does expanding your sense of self help you feel more at #peace ?

This is YOUR technique. It’s available to you any time of the day or night when you need to #relax . You can take a quick #bodyscan or a very slow one, depending on how much time you have.
Body scans are very helpful in bed before sleeping, especially if you suffer from #insomnia .
Be sure to lie down or sit in a comfortable chair for your body scan or #meditation and don’t attempt while driving or doing anything that requires your full attention! #relaxation is your natural state! Claim it! There’s another way to live! #bliss #blisstemple
