Effective immediately. First off, I hate to write this post, but I have to. We can not continue as we have. I started this rescue because I wanted to help horses and people. I have become resentful, angry, and just tired. Like all rescues, there is not enough money, homes, and time. I am not like others, but I will not let the animals that we are charged with suffer because they are not getting the time they need and deserve.. Effective today. We will no longer be taking in more than 12 horses in total.. we will take them in from law enforcement and we will continue are partnership with PVDR. We have over 30 horses available or coming available. Once are number is down to 11 we will take in 1. I am sorry that it has come to this. I am sorry that I feel I have failed. But there is not enough grace to go around. I made a promise to myself that 2023 would have more me time(selfish)(honestly I don't give a shit), family and friend time. My kids need me, my friends need me, my husband needs his wife and I need some time not to be the proverbial punching bag for everyone and their issues. So I say this ....
