History was made….

In July 2023, Regent Law School’s Center for Global Justice advocated for what is now a passed law that allows trafficking survivors convicted of prostitution-related misdemeanors to have those crimes removed from their record.

The Center’s first client, Olivia, made history by being the first trafficking survivor to have her record cleared of prostitution-related misdemeanors. Her bravery and advocacy has paved the way for many survivors in Virginia to feel protected and empowered.
