for the second rental listing shown - it started in April asking $13,000. if you came in hot that first week with a $10k offer, the owner probably would’ve said hell no. but if you stumbled upon the listing in July, and the listing has been sitting stale for a while - you can be way more aggressive. I just rented it for $8,995 🤯

college decisions time is so stressful, sad, disappointing, embarassing and so many other emptions for many people.
at the time (and in my privileged life), being waitlisted/ rejected from all the schools I applied to was the worst thing I ever experienced. But once I realized “getting in” is not the END but literally first step that I can just try again lmao - it got better and better.
I had a hugely transformative emotional and academic year at Hofstra university my freshman year. Then transferred to Barnard College my sophomore year. Got a job started making money. And decided for myself that I ME I am the one that decides what to make of my life. And I want a good one.
