Head out to Cleveland and check out the house where the movie was originally filmed. There, you'll be given a tour and learn how the movie was made and other fun facts!
You can even live out your favorite scenes from the movie. I felt like one of the characters, living out my childhood fantasy. I had a blast! I even stopped by the gift shop for Ralphie's famous bunny costume.
Of course I even got to hold up the Red Ryder beebee gun just like Ralph did on Christmas.

In Kennebunkport, Maine, ranked one of the US' most charming towns, is a waterfront seafood restaurant, The Boathouse, one of my favorite spots all year round.
In the Winter, they have cute aprés ski gondolas on their patio and firepits you can dine in. It's really cozy. We ordered off their Winter cocktail menu. They also have great food. Everything's good here, I really like their mussels, fish and lobster dishes.

We're heading to a chocolate factory and cactus garden in the Vegas area. Because what's Christmas without chocolate? And what kind of foodie would I be if I didn't share?
If you're a chocolaholic like me or maybe you just want something fun to do this holiday, visit Ethel M's.
You can stroll the cactus garden's path and see the different colorful Christmas displays. Of course I had to get some of their hot cocoa first.
After visiting with santa and taking the lights all in, I headed to the shop to create a box of chocolates to bring home. I've been coming since I was a kid and they never fail to deliver. They have some of the yummiest chocolate, caramel and liquor filled truffles I've had in the US.
