Younger Futhark and elder Futhark are two completely different things.
For example, Younger was recorded in living tradition in the Declarna region of Sweden (1599). Elder on the other hand was recreated using Proto-Germanic during the age of enlightenment (1700s).
Here's the catch, when recreating the Elder, they used the wrong language. (Urnordisk was the langue they should have used as it was the language of bronze age Scandinavia), and what they didn't know they made up using Saxon rune meanings and names.
When I make specifically Younger Futhark videos and I get a bunch of comments saying how I should use "Insert elder futhark rune here" instead, it shows that you haven't done any research on the runes beyond Pinterest or creators who haven't researched beyond the basics.
I am always here for people who want to learn, I teach whole workshops about it. But please if your only input is telling me how wrong I am (which I'm not) then I'm not for you. And that's fine. But what I'm teaching is what is taught in Scandinavia, because it's still living tradition.
We have historically recorded poems and meanings for each rune in the Younger, a whole heathen rune calendar, and even runestones that are still alive today. We don't have that for Elder. There are runestones with Elder on it, but it shows the transition to Younger as the language evolved.
Runes are not like tarot. They never have been. Treating them as such is disrespectful to an entire culture and language system.
Love y'all. End of rant.
