After years of resisting, I finally caved and decided to actually try out creating letter shapes and characters inside of Glyphs, which is an app that is made specifically for creating fonts. I’ve come up with various techniques to make fonts using Adobe Illustrator but I’ve always wanted to see if making fonts inside of Glyphs was better. So far it’s really easy and intuitive. Began working on a new serif font this morning. I really like how clean the process for making this capital C turned out. After nearly 3 years since my last visit, the stars lined up to where I had a spur-of-the-moment opportunity to come back to Griffith Observatory. One of my goals for this year is to carry around a camera with me almost everywhere I go so that I can be ready to record anywhere I am. I bought my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k in 2020 and have yet to properly record much of anything with it out in the wild.
