Todays myth: PCOS is a rare and uncommon condition.
Here’s the fact: PCOS is not well-known by the general public and is rarely discussed in the media however it is the most common endocrine disorder in women! At least 10% of women of reproductive age live with PCOS, and that's only the ones with a diagnosis. Many women can remain undiagnosed throughout their life time.

TRUTH 💣: For a long time, the main advice given to women with PCOS was to lose weight because it could improve many symptoms ❌ Yet, this advice forgets one important thing: 😥 weight loss is not easy 👎 (and it is even harder for people with PCOS because of the endocrine disorder itself).
🙏 Luckily, we are moving away from the weight-centred approach to PCOS treatment.
Dietary changes and physical activity are still very powerful tools 🛠️ for its management ✅
🎯 Focusing on improving markers of insulin resistance, inflammation, and cardio-metabolic risks is by far a better and more manageable way to deal with PCOS. 👍
