At the end of the day, starting a business is a gamble. This is not including what I spend in 2021.
Transparency is 🔑 especially with some folks romanticizing the struggle. Even though this account was on a hiatus for months due to switching manufacturers in the middle of sample work & supply chain issues, there was still work being done behind the scenes.
Managing this plus a fulltime job, several freelances, and trying to keep a social life is a PAIN.
Am I trying to tell people to not start their own business? Of course not. However, I severely underestimated what it takes to make a quality items from scratch. Even though it’s been an insane learning journey, I’m still loving the process and that’s what keeps me sane ✨
