This walk is perfect for reactive dogs because there are ground nesting birds snd sheep it means all dogs must be kept on leads ( and there are people about to enforce this and shout at you if you don’t) and because of this and the fact it goes on for hours and hours leading almost nowhere, most people dont bother going 😂 👍

The Watkin Path is one of the less busy routes to Snowdon, but it's also one of the harder ones. That means it's a great option for reactive dogs who are looking to avoid the crowds.

The path starts at the village of Nant Gwynant and takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Snowdonia National Park. You'll pass by waterfalls, lakes, and mountains as you make your way to the summit.
One of the highlights of the Watkin Path is the waterfall at Ceunant Cynfal. This is a great place to stop and rest for a while before continuing your climb. Or turn around and head back 🥰

I am blessed to be able to work from home and be with him on his healing journey but it’s been so hard, my boss also gave me two whole days off after his OP which was so kind 🥹
Last weekend was touch and go for the health of the wound bed and the remaining 2 stitches in the tail it hes now finally starting ti heal after two weeks of infected tail and broken stitches

Enjoy my fave waggy moments over the last few months , we have been on many tail wagging adventures together Cotswolds , west wales many beaches , puppacchinos and sunset Skys.
I knew it would have to go eventually and put it off a long while we have definitely put the waggies to good use over the years together and months leading up to his amputation
Im feeling less sad about it as it’s just around the corner I imagine I will cry the first time I see it gone but have been reassured that so many dogs get on really well after loosing theirs so I’m hopeful!
It’s for his health and I’m lucky the tumour wasn’t more sinister but I still wish it didn’t have to be his tail, if it was anywhere else likely it could have been removed without the need any amputation 😭
He will still be gorgeous and he will find ways to show his joy but I will miss him resting his head on my knee and feeling the gentle sway as he looks up at me for his lunchtime walk 😭 and miss the way I have to dodge his tail as he shakes off to avoid being whipped 🤣 sweet boy ❤️
