Most of y’all know that I used to print EVERYTHING at home. Nowadays I still print the prints at home but I use stickerapp for the sticker manufacturing, it saves me a bunch of time and the end result is higher quality! They can’t do restickable clear vinyl though, so if you a vendor who can PLEASE hit me up!

A very fun small project that is part of a bigger project: animating a 2D pixel art willow tree sprite to sway in the wind using shadergraph in Unity. Fun fact: I tried animating a pixel art willow tree by hand back in 2019 and that was a mistake. It was so difficult I gave up.
Shadergraph is much easier for this sort of thing. While I was working on this I made a little screen recording every time it showed me interesting visuals, and this fun little process reel is the result.
I’m not at the point yet where I can make a tutorial to explain how to do this, but I still wanted to share a bit of the process because I found it so interesting and enjoyable.
I used @binary.lunar s tutorials to make this, if you want to learn how, definitely check out their channel, because I cannot explain how it works!

Very happy to finally be sharing this willow tree! I’m very happy with how it turned out. I find willow trres so beautiful and hard to draw, the last time I attemped to animate one was back in 2019 and it was so hard i gave up.
This time I followed @binary.lunar ‘s shadergraph tutorials and I’m very happy with the results, even if it’s my first attempt at a shader!
I’ll be posting a little behind the scenes soon but if you’re interested in learning how to do this definitely check out binary lunars videos, I’m still a beginner so I can’t make tutorials for this kind of thing yet.
This will be part of a collab with my friend @moodyhag that I’m really excited about. Check her out!
Oh and also thanks to the friends in discord who helped me troubleshoot the shader bug i had!

I posted a while ago about switching over to using stickerapp stickers and the transition is finished! The photos, sizes and prices in my shop have now all been updated to show the new stickers!
Most of y’all might not be able to see the difference but the stickerapp stickers are slightly larger and they are laminated which means they will hold up much better to moisture, scratching, and even long trips through the mail! Making this change saves me a lot of time making the stickers and ultimately the quality is better due to the lamination. I hope y’all enjoy!

“How do you pick your colors?” Is definitely one of the questions I get asked the most! This video shares the basics of the method I use without diving too deep into color theory or hue shifting. It’s hard to provide information in under a minute but hopefully this is useful to some of you! I make palette cubes for materials that I think I’ll be using a lot throughout a piece (wood, stone, wall colors etc.). For most smaller sprites a palette cube isn’t necessary.
If you’re more interested in the color theory part of this, let me know what you’re curious about in the comments! I took color theory 1 & 2 in college but it’s a lot of material to try to condense into a short video.

Staying organized can be a challenge but reading marie kondo’s books really helped me figure out a strategy (especially her manga and spark joy, her second book). My favorite tip is to reuse boxes as much as possible, anytime I buy something and it comes in a nice box, I save the box and use it to organize! All the flat boxes on my wire shelf are the boxes that red river uses to ship paper, I like to repurpose them to keep my papers organized.
