In the words of our CEO, Ed Mayo, there is a charity for everything. Our concern at the moment are the cuts that we're seeing to support services for small charities. #TBT to our team building day with our Partner Charity, @clearvision Project! Aside from the hilarity that ensued from the realisation that most of us simply weren't skilled at sewing, we were all humbled and in awe of just how important these books are for visually impaired and sighted children and adults. All their books have braille, print and pictures and they're all handmade by volunteers so that visually impaired children can share their books with their sighted friends and family. The charity does host workshops to make tactile books, so do get in touch with them if you want a more unique team building experience. We stands with other organisations calling on government to provide targeted financial support for those charities and voluntary organisations that are on the frontline of supporting people through this crisis, and to ensure that charities, voluntary and community organisations are included in any plans to provide support to businesses.
