Good morning, Beautiful People! We are coming down to the last two shows of the season. Boy, has it been a wild unexpected ride putting this production on? I have met the loveliest colleagues here. A generous director; who’s hired me for “La Cage aux Folles.”, in Wien. Typing from my hotel bed with my bonnet on I feel grateful. I’ve done something I never thought I could: I followed my dreams. As I sit in my hotel alone in German, I mourn, the little black boys and girls, that chances were taken away, to grow to be Women and Men. It’s Strange Fruit. Doing a show like “Hairspray” auf Deutsch confuses me. Yet, I know my mission is greater than the prejudices we still face.
