🇦🇹 The impossibly cute Austrian town of Hallstatt sees huge numbers of tourists every day, but could that soon be coming to an end?
🛑 Residents have recently been protesting against tourism in their town, saying that it is negatively impacting their lives by creating traffic jams, creating noise pollution and overtaking their peaceful town.
🚌 They’ve already taken steps to limit how many tour buses can visit, but they want to do more to curb the number of people visiting each day.

🗼Everyone goes to Pisa to the see the famous leaning tower, and while it is impressive, there’s much more to see here!
⛪️ The tower was only built to act as the bell tower for the dazzling adjacent duomo and baptistery. Make sure to visit the inside of the duomo during your time visiting.
🗿You can also visit the duomo museum to see many of the interesting objects that once sat on or inside the cathedral. I found the museum to be an absolute delight because almost no one else was in here, it was air conditioned and it had tons of unique objects on display.

🌅 Have you heard of Utah’s Mighty 5, the five national parks that sit along the system’s southern border?
🪨 I want to share about Goblin Valley State Park. Technically, it’s not a part of the Mighty 5, but it is easily reached by driving about an hour northeast of Capitol Reef on the way to Canyonlands and Arches.
🚗 This alien landscape of eroded hoodoos is definitely worth the detour!
🥾 It doesn’t have any real trails, but you’re free to wander around the rock formations at your leisure.

🥾 Eldfell on Heimaey is a pretty easy one to do if you’re ever in Iceland. It’s relatively short but does have loose terrain. Hiking boots and poles are recommended if you have mobility issues.
👀 From the top you can see Heimaey’s other volcano, Helgafell, and the rest of the island chain as it extends out into the sea.
