there is a cloudy sky.
It's my job and my duty.

for the gas (split by the amount of

Full moon brings to the sky a lot of brightness making the sky appear bright and blue (in opposition with a dark black sky when the moon is small).
âą
The consequence is that if northern lights are very small, they will contrast less in the sky and can be less visible.
But when they are strong enough (no need of amazing intensity of northern light), you can see them really well no matter if the full moon is there.
âą
I recorded this timelapse yesterday during full moon, northern lights appear green yellowish with naked eyes, the northern lights were as visible with eyes as on the camera, and actually sometimes even stronger with eyes than camera⊠and were very average in terms of intensity of northern lights.

So yes you can see northern lights very well with your eyes on full moon, and it can brings a lot of brightness to the landscape with the brightness reflecting in the snow, making the photos very bright (almost like day time), but also all the landscape very bright with your eyes as well.

Keep in mind, northern lights are sometimes huge and sometimes small and sometimes middle intensity, they are not always as big as on this video that was one of my best northern light that I have witnessed on my years of experience. Seems to me important to remind, cause too many people think that when they will come to see one northern light on their lifetime, they will automatically see something huge, when in reality, every night is different. Every month of the northern light season will have nights with huge, small, middle intensity northern lights⊠And asking me on which night itâs gonna happen for the big ones is like asking lottery number, no one can tell the future except God.
