one week ago at this time, we had the most fun painting pets at the Old Hickory class in Nashville, TN.

From start to finish working w Ashley on this project has been the best. She reached out about doing something creative with plywood panels along her backyard fence, we talked through some ideas and I came up with a sketch for this design that we went with- vibrant, fun, and of course we had to represent the pups!!!

- we painted, got out of our heads about stress from the week, toured NHA’s incredible facilities and met some adoptable puppies.

Nashville friends: I’ve got a few spots open in next week’s Paint Your Pet classes, and would love for tiu to join us.
After one cancellation and a couple people shifting dates, I’ve got a couple spots open at both the Friday evening and the Saturday morning class.

Let’s paint Charlie’s watercolor portrait đŸ©”
When @Korkenorken ordered this painting she explained: Charlie was named after her dad who loved big dogs, but her wouldn’t have anything but poodly dogs in their home!
Charlie the dog passed in 2017 due to lymphoma at a relatively young age, but his memory lives on.

This is so true for both creating AND giving art.
This memorial portrait was ordered as a gift for a friend who’s pup had just passed. While there are no words that can change the grief of pet loss, I think the loving action of gifting a portrait that keeps the pet close in spirit is comforting beyond words.

My books are open for October, and I’d love to paint custom pet art for you or your loved ones. I do always try to offer a 2 week or less turn around time, but I’m very grateful to say August and September have been exceptionally busy so orders places now will be on the schedule for the beginning of October.
