A fool is someone who ignores godliness and common sense, he lets his emotions control him. But the godly, those with wisdom and self control are able to control themselves.

It’s the 28th of the month! We are on Chapter 28 verse 1. The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.
Wicked: someone with a mental disregard for justice, righteousness, truth, honor, virtue. Someone who is sinful, evil in thought and life.
Those people run when no one is chasing them; a guilty conscience is a powerful thing. It can make someone defensive without an accusation, it’s like a criminal that runs from police that aren’t even aware a crime has happened.
But the godly, those with a clear conscience have no such fear. Like lions, they proceed with confidence and assurance because they know that God has commanded that of us. God will handle things in the end.

Proverbs 27:17 as iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend.
A common way to sharpen iron is to use a similar piece of iron. The two scrape against each other and both pieces are shaped, the rough spots are removed and the iron shines more brightly.
Likewise, we should be in fellowship with other followers of Christ. If left alone we become full and quite useless. God expects us to live and serve in a community with other believers. That is how we sharpen each other, how we remove our rough spots and how we make each other shine brighter.
