We’ve made some serious breathing room in our wardrobe and linen cupboard this week with the help of @inaboxsolutions . Using their Windmill White Modular Containers and Stackable Shoe Box Range, we been able to sort, store, stow and archive in order to create more functional and organised spaces. @inabox @Bunnings

Mirrors aren’t just for above your vanity.
Mirrors can be invaluable tools in brightening up dark rooms and creating an illusion of space. By strategically placing mirrors on walls opposite windows, they reflect natural light. The mirror’s reflective surface effectively bounces light around the space, making it appear brighter and more open. Additionally, mirrors have the ability to visually expand the room by creating a sense of depth and extending the line of sight. This optical trickery can transform a dim and cramped space like our lower level space into a well-lit and inviting zone to hang out in.
This mirror we had custom made by local glazier @glassworx_ .It is 2m wide and 1.2m high. What we love about it is that is such a fantastic solution for illuminating the dark space and throwing natural light around but also design wise it perfectly references our arched niche on the wall close by with its matching profile. Love that it makes sense 👌🏼

DIY Mud Kitchen
How to and measurements below.
Back by popular demand🤣Recently I have had an influx of people curious about the kids mud kitchen we made back in 2020. So I’ve gone back into the archives to share the details with you all ( sorry for the camera footage changing landscape and portrait, we made this as an igtv and youtube video originally). Hopefully it will provide enough insight for anyone wanting to create their own. For reference it is still very loved and used alot by our kids who are now 5 and 3 (Miss 9 months not so much). It’s worn and rustic but still beautiful and functional. We are actually planning on putting it on castor wheels so we can move it around the yard much easier-so this may be something you want to factor into your own design.
Measurements:
Length: 1850mm
Height ( back): 900mm
Height ( benchtop): 500mm
Constructed from pine, hardwood offcuts and stainless steel bowls from kmart, rattan is marine grade plastic rattan off cut we bought cheap from rattan supplier
Step 1: Build your frame
Step 2: ‘Clad’ your frame
Step 3: add timber trim to protect little arms from splinters and cut holes for basins ( we just used kmart stainless steel mixing bowls)
Step 4: Seal ( we used Tint paint primer and did 2 coats)
Step 5: Paint ( We used tint paint Old school and custom mixed khaki)
Step 6: cut up timber offcuts into shape of taps and spouts insert mixing bowls
Step 7: Raid the opshop for pots and pans
Step 8: Let the kids loose on it
Step 9: hose down when you are finished
Step 10: repeat steps 8 to 10 forever more.

This one was very much a chance to test the DIY capabilities. So many tiles, so many mitres. Josh said he wouldn’t be tiling ever again after this (we’ll see)😂.
