Loren Wold from the @ohiostatemed talks about “bad air days” or poor air quality days. In Ohio, we are currently experiencing just that. Wold explains what exactly bad air quality means and if we should avoid the outdoors for the next couple of days.

Dr. Kman, emergency medicine physician, shares with us the importance of knowing CPR and how to use an AED machine.
He also answers commonly asked questions:
Can I “hurt” or harm someone if I use AED incorrectly?
AEDs are able to detect abnormal heart rhythms that warrant a shock, and will not administer a shock unless this is detected.
In what situations do I use AED (signs/symptoms)?
AED shocks are the most effective treatment for cardiac arrest. A cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops pumping blood, causing the brain to stop. Almost immediately the person goes unconscious, with no breathing and no pulse.
How do I use AED?
AEDs are advanced medical devices that are used to administer an electronic shock to the heart when someone is experiencing cardiac arrest. The device can be used by lay responders, and uses audio/visual prompts to provide instructions to the user. The AED will determine need for a shock based on it’s detection of heart rhythms, and will automatically administer the shock when needed.

Today, #WorldMSDay , Dr. Segal sits down to explain what is important to know if you or a loved one is dealing with MS.
#OSUWexMed neurologist, Dr. Benjamin Segal is on the forefront of research that will not only slow down the profession of neurological disorders like multiple sclerosis, but also has the potential to reverse damage that has already been done. #WorldMSDay #HealthandDiscovery

The new Inpatient Tower has:
😮2X the amount of steel as the Eiffel Tower
😮2X the amount of concrete as Ohio Stadium
😮Piping that would reach from Columbus to Zanesville if laid end-to-end
😮Wiring that would reach from Ohio to Arizona if laid end-to-end
