If we’re honest, it can be really easy to lose the joy & meaning of the Christmas season in all of the busyness of life. From stress, work, grief, loneliness… this time of year can feel extra heavy sometimes. That’s why I wrote this song- to remind myself to open my eyes to the wonder of Christmas. To remind myself to reflect on JESUS, the Miracle of Heaven… the reason we celebrate. This year, my prayer is to believe again like it’s the very first Christmas. ♥️ Send this to someone who might need this prayer. #TheFirstChristmas

I wrote this song looking back on a period of time (quite recently, honestly) when I was constantly trying to fill my soul up with transient things… success, beauty, busyness; the list goes on. The constant pursuit of those moving targets had a way of making me feel like the weight of the world fell on my shoulders.
My world changed when I started actively seeking out the Living Water… the well that will never run dry. “Something Holy must’ve happened when I met a man named Jesus, ‘cause I’ve never been the same.”
“Man Named Jesus” is track #2 on my new album Church Pew … and my personal favorite to roll the windows down & sing at the top of my lungs. 🤪
“But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again. In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up in him for eternal life.” John 4:14 CSB
