3 easy ways to speed up labour
📌 SAVE this one for later for anyone who is pregnant, trying for a baby or maybe for a friend.
Today I’m using the fitball to show you 3 easy moves that can speed up labour and help with pain management.
1️⃣ BOUNCING
Gently bouncing on the ball can help your baby move down the birth canal and into a good position for birth.
2️⃣ FIGURE 8
Slowly make figure-8’s with your hips in a circular motion in both directions. It really helps with distracting the brain from the pain and relieving any lower back pain.
3️⃣ REST
It is so important to know how to rest and completely let go of your body and mind in between contractions. When you can completely surrender in these moments you’ll be feeling strong again for that next contraction. Nina, the Founder of Nurtur Tea loved hugging the ball like shown with padding under the knees so she can rest and focus on her breath.
If you are near the end of your pregnancy, or already in labour, and there is a chance your water might break, so make sure you cover your birth ball with a towel or waterproof pad.
