my pappy wasn't expected to live the weekend. one of his favorite nurses was off that weekend, but he came in with his guitar to sing to him.

I was a caregiver, I had a patient wait for me to say goodbye before they passed away. I cried.

She passed Sunday. I’ll never forget it because I had a random feeling that she passed then the weekend nurse called to let me know a minute later

I commend you for the work you do. Hospice nurses took such great care of my ailing grandmother and were all so sweet to our family during and after!

It happened to me too when I had a clinical placement in hospice, it made me sad when I came back after the weekend and heard he passed

can I ask you something? I have a family member in homecare hospice. and they are so full of anger. we are not sure how to deal with it.

I think just listening and trying to understand. Dying when you’re not ready can be super frustrating. I’d be mad too if I had to leave now.

Yes, you’re right! I don’t want to confuse people! I don’t work weekends but we do have 24/7 nurses available
