I wrote this song over the summer when I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. I went for a walk and gave myself a good talking to. I told myself ‘I am who I am and I’d rather be me’. And voila - first line of the song. Basically this is a song about self acceptance. My life like everyone else’s is unique & I have the power to make it beautiful. I feel super grateful to be joining my lovely friend and her family on holiday in & around Cape Town for the next 2 weeks! So far we’ve seen whales, penguins & dassies. I’ve eaten some of the best food I’ve ever had and been in stunning surroundings. We’ve just got to De Kelders where we’re staying in a cottage overlooking the sea, it’s also a whale watching spot! This is already a dream holiday & I’ve only been here 3 days. We’re packing in a lot & so naturally the ALIEN music video is delayed.
