Before vs after tuning in Brisbane. This one took more tweaking. Both rack toms were choked and needed to be adjusted in pitch.
Brought the high rack up and the pitch of the top/bottom heads closer together. Rack 2 needed to come down in pitch on both top and bottom. Brought the floor tom up in pitch and evened out tension on the top head to smooth the decay.
This venue was a hall thats not typically used for full band situations so the drums needed to be tamed quite a bit. Kept the snare a bit lower and chunkier than usual for this reason and a bit of extra dampening on the toms #drummer #drumming #drumtuning #touringdrummer #learnwithtiktok #beforeandafter #tipsandtricks
