I just put vaseline around my nail and paint, then the excess just slides of or peels away easily

you can do this OR you can do it really messy and wash ur hands once it's dry, next day boom they look great

Lolll I used to do this but it’s very satisfying to me to paint like this. I also hateeee polish on my cuticles even if it washes off.

So putting it in the middle ensures a solid pigmented stroke with no cuticle flooding :)

It helps ‘feed’ the brush to keep the stroke nice and even. Try it out! Takes some practice and getting used to each formula.
