Save my recipe for Asian Cucumber Salad! I’ve just so happen to have all the ingredients for a Asia cucumber salad minus the green onions so I whipped it for a healthy mid day snack. Start with 5-6 Persian cucumber and spiral cut them. Add about 1 1/2 tbsps of salt in between the slices and let set for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing with cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel and add 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1/3 cup sliced onions, 1/4 sliced green onions if you have it, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp rice vinegar, 2 tbsp gochugaru aka Korean pepper powder ( add 1 tbsp if you want it less spicy) 1 tbsp brown sugar and 1 tbsp sesame seeds. Mix and eat immediately. The longer it sits the more soggy it will become. #asiancucumbersalad #spiralcucumber #cucumberkimchi

My sister’s famous Green Papaya Salad recipe. We didn’t really measure everything because we can of taste as we go and this was a very big serving we made, but the ingredients are Shredded Green Papaya, 3-4 garlic cloves, 3-5 Thai Chilis depending on your spice tolerance, 1 tbsp shrimp paste, about 2-3 tbsp of sugar, 2 tbsp of Padaek and it is a fermented fish sauce and this is optional if you’re not used to the strong flavor, 2 tbsp of fish sauce, 3-4 limes 3 Roma tomatoes. Traditional papaya salad does not have cilantro, but we like to add it. #papayasalad #spicyfood #sisterscooking
