Performing core stabilizer movements are SO much better than crunches, sit-ups, flutter kicks, or any other basic ab movement weāve been taught to do.
Deep core movements will strengthen your inner core muscles which protect your back, keep your waist smaller, and provide so much day-to-day function.
Iām about 90% convinced that the reason I have semi-pronounced ab muscles despite a higher body fat percentage is because of these types of movements šš¼

Itās time for an introduction! There are currently 9 horses at the barn right now which are all owned by my in-laws.
The goal over the next few months is to start working with them and figure out if theyāre going to fit what weāre looking to do or if theyād do better in a different home.

I think people are surprised when they hear a Personal Trainer say that the gym doesnāt need to be their top priority when trying to improve their health š¤Æ
Is strength training, building muscle, and moving our body important for our health? HELL yes.
But somewhere in the last 75 years weāve convinced ourselves that the gym is the FIRST place we should go when we want to improve our health.
And I disagree.
Not only can a gym be intimidating, too expensive, or unrealistic for someoneās situation but there are 1000 other things you can focus on to start FEELING better in your body TODAY.
Consider this your permission slip to start wherever makes the most sense for you, no matter how big or small. Itās all progress to healing your body āØ
