I love to spend time with people who inspire me, motivate me and recharge my battery. People who I feel great with. My journey from an exhausted pigeon to an early bird.
Over the summer, I’ve realized that all my time is consumed by the business part of Mountain Mornings and fulfilling orders. I hardly found any time to create. When I wanted to illustrate during the day I always thought about all the other things I should be doing, when I left the practise for the evening, I after found too tired to let the creativity flow.
Then I listened to 5 am Club audiobook and thought: There is NO WAY I can wake up this early regularly. But curiosity won and I started to think “What if I can”.
It was a bumpy road at first.
I snoozed the alarm zilion times first. Then I moved the phone to other room and I had to get up. I got up, turned the alarm off...and went to bed 😅. Then I was able to not come back to bed only to wrap myself in a blanket and snooze on a couch😴. After two weeks of trials and error, I was able to get up, turn the alarm off, make tea and start illustration by 5:30 am. 💃
I love my early hour of creating now. It’s so quiet at home( David is already on the way to work by that time), no e-mails to answer, just me and the tablet.✨#morningroutine #goodmorning #morningcreativity #5amclub #5am #timetocreate

From freezing our buts to tank tops this Halloween weekend hike was getting better with every step we made. I prefer to explore new hikes but then they’re a few I love to go back every year.

Rainy day in the studio today and I’m thinking of hike the mountains a few weeks ago where we could watch our first Canadian larch season. It only lasts a few weeks when larches’ needles turn their signiture golden hue so no wonder the trail was packed with people. We woke up at 4am to avoid the biggest crowd. Tottaly worth it! Have sou seen larches in fall?
