🍁Burney Falls🍁
Just 1h30 from Redding this is a great day adventure to have as a family —even with small kids.
Here are some things you should know 👇🏽
✨You don’t even have to hike to see the waterfalls, the overlook is very close to the parking lot.
✨ During warmer months, it’s very common for the parking lot to fill up, so get there early.
✨The Falls Loop trail is great for kids. Although there is some inclination, it is quite easy (about 45mins)
✨ The closest city is Burney. You can put gas and get some snacks there.
✨It can get pretty cold during Fall & Winter. We visited in late November and the highest temp was about 39F.
✨ You can see everything in about 2-3 hours.

Getting to the waterfalls is super easy. After parking, you walk just a bit to the overlook and can then choose to head down to the bottom of the falls (0.3 miles) or do the whole loop which takes you down and back up around the waterfalls (1.2 miles)
The hike is family friendly (no strollers) and you can see everything in about 2.5hrs 😊
