Highlights from tonight’s opening party for the wonderful new ‘Best in Show’ exhibit at @Fotografiska New York ❤️🐩
The event was opened by Emmy-winning actress, animal activist and the founder of Badlands Ranch Pets, Katherine Heigl ! And was joined by @madmax_fluffyroad Anthony Rubio and other friends!
Best in Show explores the role our furry (and feathered) friends have played in culture and how they stand in as representations of status, power, loyalty, compassion and companionship. The exhibition features nearly 150 works from 24 celebrated photographers, including William Wegman, famed for his portraits of his Weimaraners and Walter Chandoha, the world’s first professional cat photographer.
While the show is on view, there is a robust lineup of programming available at Fotorgrafiska, including a free pet adoption event on 9/22 with Badass Foster Care, a family scavenger hunt with the host of the Puppy Bowl and pet portrait sessions!
