We all want to accomplish something meaningful. Today I was sworn in as County Commissioner District 5. I am on a quest to work every day to lead with passion and heart. This is my first elected office but this is a continuation to the path I have already been walking on. My goal is to continuously pursue advocacy and service to my constituents. I believe in democracy and good governance. I believe in continued improvement of services for our constituents, strengthening our partnerships and building collaborative connections. That is who I am at my core. Pure intentions and laser focus. I can’t wait to get to work for you District 5!

Just attended a tour of the Ramsey/Washington County Recycling & Energy found out even more details about this innovative and collaborative partnership between counties. This facility sees all trash from Ramsey/Washington over 445,000 tons. It’s the last stop before it goes to the landfills. It’s all about waste reduction and recovery and provides immense value to our community and environment.
The food scrap program starts in 2023, pilot areas will start first. For details on how it will look check out my photos attached or go to this link

I have so many thank you’s to give out as I had a team of supporters helping me through the campaign trail to victory! We knocked on thousands of doors. We had a strategy and stuck to it, well actually we surpassed our goals. My team, friends and family were my rocks and came through in clutch times.

Being a single parent to my two daughters brings its own kind of struggles. A single parent’s perspective is vital to County government services, programs and operations.
