Team chants are a way for us to honor togetherness. Recently, we’ve explored Ubuntu and included it in our chant. What is Ubuntu? It was used by Archbishop Desmond Tutu when he led South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission that helped South Africa reckon with its history of apartheid. It’s essence is that you can only achieve what you want by making those around you better, which makes humanity better. Someone else being better isn’t a detriment to you, them being better makes *you* better. In other words, I am because we are. I can't be *all* I can be unless *you* can be all you can be. It’s not one person winning, it’s *all* of us doing our parts to win together. We work for our greater good. I am because we are. #ubuntu #togetherwegofar
