Cleaning fountain pens can be very intimidating, so I wanted to show you how to do it with one of my favorite beginner friendly pens, the @twsbi ECO.
You will need:
2 containers with water
Paper towel
Your pen
The built in piston filling mechanism makes filling and cleaning super easy. For this pen, if it’s already filled with ink , you will need to empty any extra back into the bottle. If the ink has run out you can move right to cleaning.
Start by dipping the pen in the first container and filling it with water. Then, clear the water in the second container. You are going to continue doing this until the water in the pen starts to becoming clear. Refill your wash container with clean water and clear your pen a few more times.
Next, set your pen upright in a small container on a paper towel. This will draw out any extra ink and water from the the feed. After a few minutes you are all clean and ready to refill your pen.
