Do not feel pressured into inviting additional guests if the budget doesn’t allow. The top tip is “would you give that person £xxx if you bumped into them in the middle of the street?” This always tends to be a good indicator of who might meet the shortlist! Also, if family are assisting with budget, perhaps share the list with them before the invites go out…
