Kelsey and I have worked together in-person and online since March. before Kelsey and I started working together, she was struggling with:  ❌ How to put together a proper workout routine together or what exercises she should be doing for fat loss. ❌ She had tried some different diets and they never seemed to last more than a few weeks. ❌ This left her feeling frustrated and upset that her efforts were going to waste!  After working together in the gym for a few months, Kelsey has become very familiar with all of the different machines, weights, and uses proper form. 𝗜 đ—Ș𝗔𝗩 𝗔 đ—™đ˜‚đ—°đ—žđ—¶đ—»đ—Ž đ——đ—Œđ—Œđ—ż 𝗠𝗼𝘁 đŸšȘ

In my teens and even through part of my 20s, I let a lot of people walk all over me.

I would never speak up, I would let things slide, and I would let people take advantage of my kindness and quiet personality.

After finishing my MBA, I worked in business development for a waste disposal company for about three years.

I really liked this job and I was pretty decent at it. I showed up every day and gave it everything.

Unfortunately, I found out that my boss and mentor was playing me the entire time đŸ€Ż

I was pissed but let a ton of shit slide here, and then even took the demotion when it was handed down to me.

I was disappointed in myself for letting them do this to me, but it also taught me that if I don’t start putting my foot down this will happen forever.

Here are 3 tips to help you be more confident:

1ïžâƒŁ Start with the small wins. Setting small goals on a regular basis builds momentum & momentum brings out the confidence.

2ïžâƒŁ Speak up when someone is crossing the line. This doesn’t have to turn into an argument, but let them know they can’t be doing that.

3ïžâƒŁ Talk with others who have been in a similar situation, they can shed some light on the topic and help you navigate the issue.

For the past while I have been living in discomfort.

I have been trying to do many things in which I have never done before.

- I am working my regular marketing job.
- I have my own set of marketing clients.
- And I now have a quickly growing group of fitness clients.

Some days I’m running on an empty tank đŸ˜”

There are invoices + client check ins, I am mentally done but they still get done ✅

On others I feel like nothing gets accomplished ❌

Another issues arises right before dinner 😬

This causes discomfort but I know it needs to be done. This will make me a better coach and business owner.

I signed up for a free personal training session at the gym.

The trainer was trying to teach me lateral raises in my first session. I couldn’t get the form down. I kept swinging my arms, my feet were too close together and then too far apart, I wasn’t standing straight up!

After this, I was told to stick to the machines ❌

I felt discouraged, and thought 💭 maybe this isn’t for me?

On top of this, I thought everyone was watching and judging 👀

If you are new to a gym or considering joining, you don’t have to feel like this.

âžĄïž Start slow, figure out what types of exercises you enjoy the most.

âžĄïž Watch some videos online, there are a ton of great trainers on YouTube.

âžĄïž Tag a long with a buddy who has more experience than yourself.

âžĄïž Don’t be afraid to ask for help! You will be surprised on how many people will offer to help you out.

I see many guys in their prime years, and they are not doing shit all about their health, fitness, and well being.

I completely understand the feeling of being stressed out and overwhelmed 😼‍💹 Going to work, taking care of your family, grocery shopping, trying to squeeze in exercise, and then working some more.

This is NOT easy but it is NOT an excuse to stop improving yourself and moving forward.

Here are a couple of suggestions to help move you in the right direction.

1ïžâƒŁ Put aside 1 hour, three times per week to start working on your fitness. Put on a motivational podcast and get it done.

Your basement, a park, or they gym. It doesn’t matter.

2ïžâƒŁ This is one I just started doing myself so I can have more control over my day. Start a morning routine! ☀

This can be short or long as you would like, but set your intentions for the day, stretch + breath, journal, etc.

This is all easier said than done, but developing a personalized routine to kickstart your day will help big time.
