A couple weeks back I performed 3 shows in Athens, ON: 2 school shows and one last minute songwriter round with Pat Johnson. We had a nice chat in the schools about life as a working musician, sharing and making music online, plus I played a few tunes of my own and some faves. The kids were great and so was the staff! Pat and I shared an awesome time at Bastard Coffee House that evening trading tunes and drinking quality coffee. Since I was a child, she has been a titan in our city and our country, showing not only what a mayor can do, but stood as a shining example of a woman in politics and leadership making a real difference in her community. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on. The Hurricane left its mark, that's for sure.
