3000GT has a bad reputation because most people don't do the maintenance and throw mods at it instead of doing the right steps first. No matter what car you get at this age, to be reliable you need keep up with the maintenance. In my experience my personal 98 VR4 has been nothing but reliable. I would hop in right now and drive it cross country and back without any worries. But it is very hard to find a shop that can work on these cars correctly, so be careful what shop you choose. #3000gt #vr4
