Discover the poster of the XIXth edition of the Mapping festival.
The visual of the XIXth edition poster, born from a generative patch in #p5js , was associated with notions of physical space and graphic design.

The M logo of the Mapping, on the other hand, opted for a morphing towards the ∞. M -> ∞ shows Mapping as it is, namely its ability to map environments, ideas, individuals and to break free from certain limits and boundaries.

@dimitri.delcourt and @sophieczch have imagined a language that mixes generative design, typography, cartography, mapping and signage to signify the key places of this edition.
▭ Le Commun, which hosts an exhibition punctuated by round tables, performances and cryptobars from 18 to 28 May, is represented by a rectangle.▭
◯ Le Syllepse, a 360° projection space in the Jardin des Nations is represented by a circle. This space invites you to immersive experiences from 25 to 28 May.◯

The generative spirit of Mapping will also be present at the Groove for an evening of A/V & Post-clubbing performances on 19 May.

Project yourself in 360°. Syllepse is a 22 meters diameter tank, equipped with 24 video projectors on its curved walls and ceiling, which allows a 360° projection for a resolution of 15'000 X 2000 pixels. The tank is also equipped with a 32-speaker ambisonic system that further enhances the spectacular experience.

💥Ce dimanche soir dès 20h concert de Lapsus de Luxe avec #jonathandelachaux Jacques Houssay Poupa Honk Stéphane Augsburger

💥🎶 Lapsus de Luxe est un collectif de l’accident, du dérapage et de l’improvisation. Actif depuis 2018, il réunit des individualités fortes venues de mondes éloignés – poésie, (free) jazz, musiques ethniques, cumbia dub, hip-hop, musique classique et punk-rock.
Son exigence : la recherche d’un point de friction et de compromis entre ces différents éléments à travers l’élaboration d’un spoken word entièrement libre, composé dans l’urgence, en direct, et résultant d’un dialogue constant et spontané entre texte et musique – la voix n’étant plus ici qu’un instrument comme les autres. Signe particulier : une prédilection marquée pour les zones intermédiaires d’où surgit l’insolite, pour la faune et la flore de la marge, pour le fou rire des grandes catastrophes.
Lapsus de Luxe, c’est l’apocalypse comme une comptine pour enfant. C’est des extraterrestres désuets, du nihilisme tendre, du tragique burlesque. C’est la fin du monde sauce samouraï.
