Restoration Of An Old Hook Bar From The 50s or 60s I saw an old hook bar at an online flea market and I immediately fell in love with this gem. The bar should be from the 50s or 60s and was made in Germany - maybe one of you has more details. The previous owner had additionally mounted plastic hooks - unfortunately, this has not done the charm of the bar. The paint was already very faded and yellowed. The metal parts were already corroded and the surface was no longer beautiful. So I set about it and helped the jewel to a new shine. For the wooden balls of the holders I took a different color to accentuate a little. After I have finished restoring the bar, which of course immediately went into use. The coffee grinder now is disassembled.

I have disassembled the grinder into its components. There are very many parts - and unfortunately very many in quite poor condition. Restoration will be more of a challenge than I thought. I will do my best to restore this grinder to its glory and beauty.

I bought this old hacksaw at a flea market. It was in a really very bad condition. The handle was scratched and dirty, on the bracket of the saw the paint was peeled off or scuffed. The saw had seen much better times.

But what I also saw right away was its good core. The bow is solid steel, the handle is solid wood (beech) and the brackets are good steel. Thread and wing nut have been worked very well.

So: much too good for the trash.
A good hacksaw I have been missing anyway. Therefore, I have resolved to make a small side project from it.

I saw this old coffee grinder on a used stuff online portal and totally took it to heart.

The coffee grinder was actually totally destroyed. The wooden core was broken and you could not use it anymore. But it had so much charm and seemed to tell its own story that I decided to restore it.
