Thought I would share with you a little of my practice session for my upcoming performance of the first movement of Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 31, No.1. There is no official title for this sonata, but I like to call it the “Drunk Sonata” 😁 it’s quite a funny piece and such a gas to play 😂

Sasha's Uncle Russ is listening to our single "Nautilus" for the first time. Now Russ is an original hippie who grew up in the Haight Ashbury scene and hung out with Ken Kesey...he saw Led Zeppelin in England and the Bay Area when he was about 17...he has so many cool stories and I just want to absorb as much as I can every time we chat.

I had to go way out at low tide where the huge waves were crashing on the coast on Maui to find these super cool helmet urchins (Colobocentrotus atratus). It was a little sketchy but totally worth it! Their flat shape and strong tube feet allow them to keep from getting washed away in these action-packed rocky shores...I was thinking some strong tube feet would really come in handy next time I attempt to film these critters!

Women’s history month may be over, but I could not resist, adding another of my huge inspirations. Betty Davis. She was so raw, funky, rock, hot!!! A natural musician and artist through and through, she knew exactly what she wanted and directed all the studio musicians to play what she heard in her head. She was a true genius. The world was not ready for her, and it still isn’t. I dream that one day it will be worthy of this magnificent woman.
